About me
I am a senior trainer, facilitator and supervisor/mentor specialising in Family, Land and Organisational Constellations, with over two decades of experience in this field. I am the founder and owner of the training brand African Constellations which has trained hundreds of Systemic Work facilitators in South Africa and internationally. Ancestral Connections and REAL Academy are also co-founded and co-owned with colleagues.

As the author of Reclaiming Ancestors, I explore the personal and collective journey of rediscovering ancestral wisdom and its connection to trans-generational systemic work rooted in Southern African traditional lineage practices. The book offers readers a powerful reflection on the lost harmony with nature and wisdom, guiding them on a path to reconnect with their own ancestral heritage.
Holding an MA in Narrative Therapy, my work is deeply influenced by the focus on power dynamics and the voices of marginalised communities. I am widely recognised for incorporating land, embodiment, and the collective into my systemic practice.

As the author of Reclaiming Ancestors, Tanja shares her personal and collective journey of being a westerner searching for a reconnection to ancestral wisdom, and to the root of trans-generational systemic work that lies in Southern African traditional lineage wisdom. Realising what she had lost, about a life lived in harmony with nature and greater wisdom, she takes the reader through a journey of how she reclaimed her own ancestors, and guides the reader to the beginning of a modern path of reclaiming one’s own ancestors that honors their roots the lands from which they come.
